Great off-season specials, Ani!

You have chosen a good time of year for getting great deals on accommodation. And winter is Cape Town's best kept secret, we often have spells of really great weather.

Local school holidays are from 26 June to 12 July, I suggest you avoid that period as it will make things busier here.

Rent a vehicle to get around in, as that is much the easiest if you are comfy with driving. Infant seat can be arranged.

I'm not sure what sort of things you would like (wildlife, scenery, wine routes?) and if you feel strongly that you want to stay in only one place. Did you see any particular item on the Cape Town attractions page which cauhgt your eye?

With the time you have available you could stay in a central location for part of the time, and in a more peaceful setting - either further south on the Peninsula like Simonstown, or out in the vineyards - for the other part.

Another question - do you want a guesthouse/ bed and breakfast establishment, or would you rather arrange all your own meals?

We find self-catering suits us very well, but that is just a personal preference.

Take a look at my Cape Town holiday villa page for some suggestions.

Let me know and I can make recommendations.
