Cape Town Waterfront acommodation
Our Waterfront in Cape Town is a superb example of putting historic buildings to use without destroying their charm. When I first moved to the Cape the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront consisted of Ferryman's Pub and a lot of very fishy-smelling docks. Plans were afoot, but they seemed like a load of cods-wallop to us. Little did we know! The area has since been completely transformed and is justifiably punted as the most visited place in South Africa. Admittedly it's not the place to go bargain hunting and some Cape Town cynics would call it a tourist trap. So be it !! Despite that, we visit regularly!
So, why do WE go there? - Hours of fun!
the working harbour provides educational entertainment for us to watch as we strollwe munch on icecream cones and watch out for seals like this one - cute isn't he?

the breakwater gives us a real kick - kelpy, ocean scents and yelping seagulls!
the Aquarium
or
the Scratch Patch
are great especially on days when outdoor activities are less appealing,we eat and drink, sometimes we even allow ourselves to
shop!
