Cape Town Questions and Suggestions

You sound very independent, so I am assuming you will have a rental car, please correct me if I am wrong!

Plan your Table Mountain trip for the first fine day you have, as the weather can be unpredictable. As far as Robben Island goes, do book ahead to be sure. (Telephone (021) 411-1006 or e-mail ebookings@robben-island.org.za)
Apparently the Island will be closed for two weeks at the beginning of November, so it may be busy in advance of that.

For Hermanus, I can recommend Francolinhof Guesthouse (lovely elevated position) or House on Westcliff B&B (close to the cliff tops)

You will have seen the best of the Cape Town sights and you have time to venture up the West Coast, or even Route 62 and the Garden Route if you want to. How far are you prepared to venture beyond Hermanus? What are you most interested in? Scenery, San culture, wildlife, SA people, great food and wine, adventurous experiences?
