South Africa - Lowveld to Cape Town via Garden Route?

We want to travel from the Lowveld to Cape Town via the Garden Route.

I am planning this for March 2009
2 adults, 1 teenager and 1x 11 year old

I would like to include the places mentioned below but not sure if it would be en route
Drakensberg Mountains, Golden Gate, West Coast, Langebaan, Paternoster

We want luxury accommodation. Not necessarily 5 star any 4 star would also be great.

Places with great food, excellent accommodation, scenery breathtaking, fun activities, walking distance from restaurants if no meals are supplied, tourist attractions, if along the coastline then should have beach/sea views or in the mountains. must be easy accessible by car - considering driving a vito for comfort and space

then in Cape Town we would like to see Table Mountain, Castle, Robben Island, Wine tours, etc.

maybe 2 nights in a place to explore the wine farms and 2 nights to have nice beaches, relaxing and things like whale watching and 2 nights for the places of interest

4/5 days on the garden route and 3/4 days in Cape Town, will then fly from there back to Jhb

I have no idea where to start - ask me anything about the Kruger and i can help you but now that i want to plan my own holiday i have no idea what would work!
