Jonkershuis @ Groot Constantia

Jonkershuis restaurant at Groot Constantia
This is the ultimate spot for our family for an early morning breakfast.
The venue is spectacular - under oak trees in a 'werf' of historical buildings (that means farmyard in Afrikaans -- in case you were wondering!) and overlooking the vineyards with False Bay as a backdrop.
The wind is hardly ever an issue and the food... yummy!
It IS quite expensive but I really feel you get what you pay for. The staff are so friendly and love interacting with the kids. Well worth a visit.
(This photo shows lots of Cape Dutch gable and very little of the restaurant, but you get the idea! The oak avenue is a leafy haven in summer.)
