Glen Beach feels like a different world

glen beach cape town

There's nothing of the also-ran about Glen Beach, but somehow it languishes in the shadow of its glamorous neighbour Camps Bay.

If you're going up the hill out of Camps Bay towards Clifton, head down a gentle flight of steps to your left. You'll find a tiny jewel, sharing Camps Bay's magnificent backdrop of the Twelve Apostles but keeping itself hidden from the crowds.

Backed by nothing but a few private homes, it has an away-from-it-all feeling all the more remarkable for its proximity to the city. I love it. And being that little bit further up the hill, parking is often just a tiny bit less hassle.

Take some time and spend it here - you won't be sorry!
