Cape Town Family Holiday Magic

Family of 4 - January 2009 +- 10 days - we need wheelchair friendly accommodation!

I would like some personal advice if thats possible.

Our 13 year old son is wheelchair bound - Very bright and cheery young chap who starts high school next year, but we have travelled quite a bit on weekends to get away and they have all been disasters because we haven't been able to plan activities ahead.

I have emailed Myrtle as well for a few tour possibilities. I think what we are looking for is family accomodation that we don't need to trek up stairs to get to and really just places to avoid with a wheelchair.

When it comes to boat rides etc I will be able to pick him up and put him onto the boat - so we are used to doing certain things, but some we just can't -

We were also hoping to find a spot where they have 4x4's or quad bikes allowed on the beach so we could take him onto the beach for a change.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the Website - Its been really helpful.

P.S. * we also have a 7 year old boy who is very active so we need to accommodate for him as well - But he does and likes anything so we should have no hassles with him.
