Extreme Hotel Cape Town

No longer Fire and Ice but still exciting...

Cape Town is carving a name for itself with adventure sport activities, so the new Extreme Hotel that opened in Cape Town was no surprise – until we saw it, that is!

Upmarket? With all that laundry hanging in the windows?!

Yep, it’s fun and it’s funky, beautifully designed with great attention to detail and -- amazingly -- the staff members are psyched! (This is truly incredible, because generally Cape Town’s attitude to offering good service is laid-back, at best.)

This is a hotel built with a sense of humour. From themed toilets (I’ve sampled ‘Outhouse’ and ‘Stagefright’ so far..) and a glass-walled dining room looking into the depths of the swimming pool, it’s a really fresh approach for Cape Town accommodation.

Best of all, it’s all geared to arrange your adventure sporting activities for you. I have had rave reviews from one of my newsletter subscribers. She has now used them twice (or was it three times?) and has nothing but praise for their service.

All the more remarkable is that fact that she is a local resident, rather than a hotel guest! So the enthusiasm extends to anyone who wants a bit of adventure.

A quick tour of the more visible parts of the hotel is in order... When I was last there, I had dealings with a staff member called Lusapho (Pronounced Loo-suh-por) and a more charming chap you couldn’t hope to find. Enjoy it!

Sure looks like laundry! extreme hotel cape town picture

So if your nerves are strong and you’re looking for great accommodation and fun things for teenagers to do in Cape Town, look no further!

Your teens will crown you coolest parent for this one... ;o)

For those of you old enough to travel on your own – what are you waiting for?
