Cape Town Family Holiday Magic

CapeTown in May - 2 adults and a 7/8 mth baby

(UK)

Planning our first family holiday to Cape Town in the first week of May for 7-10 nights. My family think I am mad to even consider going this far afield with a young baby - but as long as the accomodation is suitable I think we should be alright. We will be travelling from the UK.

As this is our first baby I'm almost not quite sure myself what is a good idea but was thinking that we need accomodation that at the very least has a seperate bedroom and living area so we have somewhere for the baby to sleep whilst we stay up an extra hour or 2! A balcony or terrace would be fine, but is all a bit weather dependent.

Access to the beach would perhaps be a good idea - but of course our little one is too young to need specific child friendly things. Nice local cafes would be good so we can have something to eat and then get back for bedtime!

I guess we would also need a hire car? With an infant seat?

And of course the hotel/ guest house needs to be happy to have such a little one stay!
