You've discovered Capetown's best secret!
by: Alison

Cape town in May is a winner, great choice.

Definitely a separate sleeping and living area will make your life much easier on holiday with your baby.

Also definitely a hire car and infant seat, for maximum convenience. We have used Europcar all over the country and found them to provide good value and good service. You can get a quote here.

You don't mention what you as adults would like to do in Cape Town. That could affect your choice of location on the Peninsula.

If you want to be near to the City centre, you will have to be near an Atlantic coast beach and they have MUCH colder water! They are also generally a lot pricier. Let me know if that's important and I will be happy to make recommendations.

If that's NOT important, (and i don't think it should be) I recommend the South Peninsula for great facilities at good prices and a laid-back atmosphere.

If you are prepared to consider self-catering, we find it really hits the spot and is cost-effective too. So take a look at the advice I gave here: Self catering Simonstown

The Southern Right Hotel is a great child friendly place, and also on the 'warm water side' of the Peninsula, near Simonstown.

Let me know what you decide, I look forward to hearing more of your plans!
