A Cape Town Villa -
why you should make someone's holiday home
your home-from-home!

Cape Town Villa
Finding affordable accommodation in Cape Town is not that easy, particularly if you're travelling with a family.

That's why we advise our friends to consider renting a Cape Town villa (a holiday house in Cape Town) if they're planning to be here for a week or more. The big bonus with a villa is that the price quoted is for the whole house so it can make a significant saving for your holiday budget.

You see most hotels, guesthouses and B & B's charge per person, per night. With a family, that can stack up pretty fast!

And if your family is like ours, sometimes the junior members seem scarcely use the beds you're paying through the nose for - because they're too busy sharing yours!

Other advantages of a Cape Town Villa or self-catering holiday homes in Cape Town.

When you're on holiday, it's nice to have your own space

We've had delightful stays in guesthouses and B&B's but sometimes it just feels like your kids are making a rowdy nuisance of themselves - a bit like staying with the in-laws ;O). That's just not relaxing, is it?

And it's great to march to the beat of your own family drum.

That means eating when (the kids) want to and making adjustments to plans as and when. And that's so easy when you have your own keys and no one needs to know about your comings and goings.

I don't know about you, but we like the kids to have their own room/s - that way we get to have a real holiday ourselves!

And a villa means more space for everyone to play and relax without getting under one another's feet (or skins). It also gives you a real feel for Cape Town life because you're not tucked away in a hotel somewhere.

Of course there are some disadvantages to Cape Town villas...

  • Having the whole place to yourselves can feel lonely and alarming in a strange city
  • There are safety and security issues to consider.
  • You may feel you have fewer recourse options if things don't turn out the way you planned
  • And then there are issues like... no room or laundry service, doing your own grocery shopping and cooking, maybe even making your own beds... ;o)

Neutralise the disadvantages by...

... booking through a reputable agent. The right person or company will offer you good, solid service, take care of your housekeeping issues and make sure your holiday rental accommodation in Cape Town has adequate security to ease your qualms.

The company that handles accommodation booking for this site has a reputation for good, professional service. I have satisfied myself that they operate to the highest standards. If this proves not to be the case, please let me know immediately.
