Cape Town Northern Suburbs MapDon't miss my favourite secret hideout within the city limits - below the map...As you will see from this Cape Town Northern Suburbs Map, in recent years the city has exploded to fill in the space between the West Coast and the Winelands. Northern suburbs property in Cape Town offers a far better proposition than the southern suburbs as far as value goes- you get If you are looking for faily accommodation, don't miss my 'see-to-believe' tip below the map:-)
This of course extends into the accommodation market too - if you're looking for budget accommodation in Cape Town, the northern suburbs is likely to offer you the best options close to the Winelands. What else can I say about the northern suburbs? Durbanville and Welgemoed are my favourites, sprawling across the rolling slopes of the Tygerberg and offering fabulous views of distant mountain ranges. The architecture here is far more modern than the southern suburbs, with most homes having been built during the last 40 years. Durbanville is home to some outstanding shopping and also to the Barnyard Theatre - a great entertainment option for a fun night out. And of course as far as shopping goes, Canal Walk at Century City dominates the horizon as you leave Cape Town on the N1 - a vast shopping mecca right beside Ratanga Junction theme park. Fun for the whole family!
