Cape Town holiday - young family + safari and Sun City/Garden Route?

We are family of four, the kids being a 6yr old and a 4yr old (our four-legged family member has to stay in the UK!)

We are wanting to visit South Africa at the end of March/beginning of April 2010 and would be grateful for some advice on where to go and what to see. We have about three weeks to spare and very vague ideas about what we want to do!

We definitely want to
* go to Cape Town
* do a safari (malaria free and smallish park so kids do not get bored)
* were thinking of possibly going to Sun City.

* Garden Route but we wondered if it would hold enough interest for the children?

* and obviously some time on the beach would be great for all!

Accomodation wise we are happy with all types or a mixture but normally go for self catering to make it easier with the children.

We ideally would like to arrive around 22/23 March and need to be home by 14 April.

We were sent your website details by friends of ours who you helped and then travelled to Cape Town in November last year.
