When someone asks, “What’s your favourite Cape Town guest house?” the answer is a complete no-brainer for me – Sunset Beach!

Yes, even though we live in Cape Town, we have stayed at Sunset Beach – twice! We found it by ‘accident’ – quite literally by sticking a pin into the map :o) – and we loved it so much we wasted no time in going back.

Although we have used it as a romantic getaway sans kids, it is also suited to family stays, as you will see from the guest comments.

Intaba Lodge – Hout Bay - Cape Town

Intaba Lodge has had great reviews from previous guests – always a good way to distinguish between the marketing hype and reality!
Hout Bay is a wonderful place to spend some time – tranquil and rural feeling with close beaches, yet a short drive from the city.

Camps Bay Terrace Guest House - Cape Town

Getting reasonable value for money on the Atlantic Seaboard is tricky, so when you spot a good offer it’s best to snap it up!
Camps Bay is a glorious spot, spectacular for its views, full of activity and close to the City Bowl.

Constantia needs no introduction and this guest house in the best part of this leafy peaceful suburb.
