The Garden Route is a Nature and Sea Lovers Paradise!
by: Alison

Hi Marion,

You will love the Garden Route.

If you want to shark dive or soemthing in Mossel Bay, then certainly spend a night there. Even on the bus it is an easy journey to do in a day - only around 5 hours driving.

From Mossel Bay on, it is short hops - I recommend a night in Wilderness (around 1 hour on from Mossel Bay) to hike in the forestand do some canoeing, then a night in Plett (around an hour on from Wilderness) and take a boat trip there to watch dolphins, plus hike along Robberg peninsula, then finally a night in Storms River (half an hour beyond Plett) to do the tree canopy tour, or just visit Monkey land near the Crags and walk their awesome suspension bridge amongs the free roaming monkey population rescued from all over the globe.

If possible you could fit in a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary between Knysna and Plett, or mountain bike at Harkerville.

On the way home vary your route and stop overnight in Oudtshoorn to visit the Cango Caves and/or bike the Swartberg Pass.

I hope that helps :)
